Taking this dilapidated heritage home, and transforming it into a beautiful modern development. Restoring the façade, front verandah, and the existing residence, when you walk through the front door, the interior is not to be expected. Working with the traditional heritage features in the entry hallway, you slowly transition into the modern addition to the rear. With bedrooms, bathroom, and sitting room located at he front of the residence, you continue down several large steps and walk into the rear open living, dining and kitchen, where you are greeted with large split ceiling levels, full height glazing, and a polished concrete flooring. Continuing through the living room out to the outdoor entertainment area, the in-ground swimming pool wrapping around the home and finishing at the full height glazing, reflecting the natural and artificial light throughout the home. Within the living room locates the open timber batten staircase, guiding you to the first floor master bedroom wing. This is where the design constraints have played a big part in the design and feel of the home, instead of working against the roof lines, we have incorporated them into the design and made them a feature that upon entering you feel relaxed, calm and ready to enjoy the space.
